Just for fun, we applied an implementation of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the problem of assembling a 3D crossword. You can see how it worked out, on the example below. It is an example of a 8*8*8 3D crossword).

The crossword in the image below is perfectly internally consistent, and can therefore be solved just like any regular 2D crossword, such as the ones you can find in your local newspaper. The only difference is that each letter is the crossing point of 3 words (in the x, y and z directions), instead of the regular 2 words (horizontal and vertical), of a 2D crossword.
