Q: Students and teachers are moving between two locations. The distance between them is 15 minutes. How can we optimise those transfers for students and teachers?

A: Using additional options (breakclass,breaktea,breakcustom,breakloc), iTT will reduce the number of transfers much better than human can. iTimeTable is able to calculate a school schedule absolutely automatically. This includes quite specific user demands. Evolutionary artificial intelligence takes care for those during calculating phase.

Recently we have added a new function called "conjunct" which is opposite to "disjunct". The new function enables us to calculate the schedule suitable for a new possible arrival who will have two courses simultaneously. Nobody of the existing students has that but we are ready to a newcomer. This command is usable for primary school, high school and university.

A new version of iTimeTable - school schedule, suitable for universities was developed. It offers an extended range of possibilities, suited for university needs.

It takes into account the time dependencies of lectures, tutorials, exams, seminars, ... The user can establish a parallel, serial or overlapping activities. Delay can be in days or hours (not less than 10 days after the end of the course exercises begin, 10 hours after the start of lectures seminaries begin,...). In the same way goes the splitings between lectures and one or more profesors.

iTimeTable version 7.0.665 offers an option of limiting a teacher´s idle hours. When entering teacher´s idle hours, we insert a number or an interval of idle hours a teacher should have. If we leave the field blank, it means, that the number of idle hours is not important for that teacher.

0-3/2;2-4 - from 0 to 3 idle hours per week / maximum of 2 idle hours per day, teaches 2-4 hours per day
!0-3/2;!2-4 - from 0 to 3 idle hours per week / maximum of 2 idle hours per day, teaches 2-4 hours per day, otherwise there is an error.
